  1. Yes, that’s the same pen. The main difference between this pen and a 515 is that the latter has a lever box, and if I remember right, a third ring. The nib does look a little out of place at first, but it grows on you, that big, purposeful nib on a modest pen 🙂

    I especially like your Conway Stewart, which I take to be a 479. Great understated, elegant pen with beautiful chasing.

  2. Hi, I am interested in the history of the Watermans Keyhole Ideal nib, and why they keep turning up on 1940s post war pens. Most are lovely flexible nibs and are great writers. So many are on 1940s pens, I am thinking Watermans must have used up old stock on the early 515s etc. or are they all replaced nibs, I doubt that though. T
