Can anyone tell me about this desk pen? I don’t recognise the nib or the cartridge (hardly surprising; I don’t use them much). It came with a pen I wanted.
The only thing that makes me think is the inscription “Italia”, as I read it, at the base of the nib (which judging from its point, is not an Italic nib).
Also, what is the meaning of the “Extra” inscription on the nib’s left side? (I cannot read the rest below).
Thankk you in advance !
I’m afraid it definitely reads “italic” though I agree that the nib doesn’t look particularly italic. It reads “extra pen” on the side. I don’t know what that means.
I think it’s a PLATIGNUM (spelt with a G) School Desk Pen . . . I recognised the markings on the nib.
Many thanks, Tas.
: )
I agree. The same pen was used in later Platignum calligraphy sets.
I may actually have one hiding somewhere in a cupboard.
Yes, and Paltignum is an English brand, no more in the market I guess…Regards
Thank you.
