For some time now I have been copying the blog links into Facebook. I ask people to comment on the blog rather than in Facebook as the comments are archived in the blog and are available for later readers. As that request has been consistently ignored I won’t copy articles to Facebook in future.

You’re right. I’m sure I won’t miss them. What was the #1 reason?
I belonged (past tense now) to several FP groups on FB and would share interestin blogs to the group – not necessarily my own. They never read them. Here is #1, they would make in incorrect assumption them start a discussion about something totally not relevant and that simply annoyed me.
I had an example of exactly that in my last Facebook post.
the other group asked me to stop or limit posts relating to vinbtagfe pens.
Why doesn’t that surprise me?
