I suppose we all know the Swan and Conway Stewart Metal Pockets but how about this one?

Any suggestions as to which pen this was intended for? National Security used a lion as their logo but it looked rather different.
Many thanks to Rob Parsons for sharing this image.
How about John Dickinson, the stationery manufacturers? They used a similar looking lion for their Lion Brand products. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dickinson_Stationery
That’s a good suggestion but I think these things predate Dickinson’s brief entry into the pen market. Still possible I suppose.
Is there any possibility that they may be French?
No evidence either way. What did you have in mind?
I nothing specific in mind. There has always been a good amount cross-channel commerce and travel. Quite a number of pens would have crossed between Britain and France over the last two centuries and ended up on ‘foreign soil’.
Is there any sign of a unicorn’s horn, I have a couple of pens with nibs with unicorns on that look like the one on the metal pocket?
I only have the photo, Simon, but it looks like paws rather than hooves and that tail wouldn’t look right on a unicorn, methinks.
