Does anyone know anything about the New Oxonian fountain pen? The barrel imprint also contains the words “Ryman London”. The only Ryman company I can find is a stationer, still extant, so it might have been made for that company. It’s an inexpensive-looking pen with a small warranted nib.
Hi, I remember Ryman back in the sixties, I have a feeling they had a chain of shops that sold newspapers, mags etc and pens and other writing things. Bob.
Thanks, Bob.
Rymans still sell Oxford pens.
Thank you for that! Are they any good?
A school pen, I think. https://www.ryman.co.uk/helix-oxford-fountain-pen Your Oxonian may be an old model.
Thank you. That’s not quite the same. Helix are most famous for manufacturing geometry sets among other things. This fountain pen is made by them and sold by other outlets too, including Amazon. The New Oxonian seems to have been unique to Ryman.
As they say of FPN, pictures please!
It’s the world’s plainest pen but I will add a photo when I get time.
